This is for the Grand kids and Grandma..... Yes, that is the Aurora from a vantage point most will never experience.
I read that this was taken while the astronauts circled the earth looking for a place to park. snicker..

Wow! We finally had a chance to watch this. The boys were very impressed. We got a kick out of the lighting in the clouds too. Such a beautiful thing to see from up high. :) Grandma sure is a lucky lady for seeing those Northern Lights with her own eyes. I told Ezra that when he's an astronaut he can see them from a space craft too. xoxo
